Katoukichibee Shouten was established in 1860. They use traditional methods to make junmai sakes and aged them at ice-cold temperature for long period. It is served at Japanese royal family events and has gained an international reputation.

Made 100% from Yamada Nishiki rice – the “king of sake rice”

Aged for one year at below 10°C so the yeast in the sake stays in a dormant state. The ageing process allows for a more complex flavour and a smooth, rounded body and gentle aroma

Unfiltered to retain the natural golden colour and rich fruity and mineral flavours

Intense aroma of pear and peach-like fruitiness. Best served lightly chilled in a wine glass to experience the elegant fruitiness.

Beautiful golden yellow in colour, since it is free of charcoal filtering during brewing. Fruity and full of mineral aroma, which can bring out the umami from the uni.
